Healthy Homemade Dog Meal Recipe – No. 1
Ingredients:
- 2.5 ounces (70 grams) organic lettuce
- 4.6 ounces (130 grams) mixed organic vegetables (carrots, cauliflower, broccoli)
- 7.1 ounces (200 grams) pure organic chicken
- 0.06 ounces (1.7 grams) organic devil's claw
- A pinch of organic eggshell powder
- 1 organic basil leaf
- 1 organic parsley leaf
- 2 organic lemon balm leaves (dried or fresh)
- A pinch of dried nettle
- 1/2 teaspoon of organic milk thistle oil
- 1 teaspoon of organic flaxseed oil
- 1 capsule of EPA/DHA supplement
- 5 organic pumpkin seeds
- A small amount of water (as needed)
Instructions:
- Start by washing your hands and ensuring that all the ingredients are clean and safe for your dog.
- Wash and peel the carrots. Chop the carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Steam or boil the vegetables until they are tender but not overcooked. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
- After cooking, blend the mixed vegetables until they reach a smooth consistency.
- Wash the basil, parsley, and lemon balm leaves.
- Finely chop the basil and parsley leaves.
- Tear the lemon balm leaves into small pieces and add the dried nettle.
- Cut the pumpkin seeds in halves and add it.
- Put the mixed vegetables, lettuce (if the mixture appears too dry, you can add a small amount of water and mix until you achieve the desired consistency), chopped herbs (basil, parsley, lemon balm), and pumpkin seeds in a large mixing bowl or directly in the dog bowl and blend it.
- Then add the canned chicken, devil's claw and a pinch of eggshell powder.
- Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon of milk thistle oil and 1 teaspoon of flaxseed oil over the ingredients in the bowl.
- Cut open the EPA/DHA supplement capsule and squeeze the liquid contents into the mixture. Discard the empty capsule shell.
- Gently toss all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
- Last but not least: Serve to your dog!
P.S.: The serving size will depend on your dog's size and dietary needs, so consult with your veterinarian for the appropriate portion.
